The developed course was approved by experts prior to implement to the flower arrangement class for one semester. The research tools consisted of 15 lesson plans on flower arrangement, a Sufficiency Economy Philosophy test, journal, attitude and skill evaluation forms. Data were collected from 29 students who attended the flower arrangement class. Descriptive statistics, ttest and content analysis were employed for data analysis. The results revealed that the posttest scores on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of the students were significantly higher than those of the pre-test scores at the .001 level. The development of the students on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and flower arrangement were found to cover the three domains: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. In addition, students had positive attitude toward the developed course and improved themselves on thinking process, resource management, and environmental and global warming awareness. Moreover, the students suggested that the integrative implications of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy on other home economics courses should be considered. |
